If set to yes, the unit firing this weapon does not have to turn to face its target before firing, usually under the assumption that the projectile can home in on the target (for example, the Dreadnaught and Aegis in Red Alert 2, since their missiles turn freely under their own power after being fired).
Another possible use is if the weapon also has AreaFire=yes set but is not fired by deploying the unit.
If the weapon is not a homing weapon then the weapon will be fired directly at the target, ignoring the firing unit's facing and that of its turret (if any).
Bugs/Side-Effects/Unexpected Limitations
If a VehicleType is set to deploy to fire its Secondary weapon but it has OmniFire=yes set on its Primary weapon then, when it deploys, it will actually fire its Primary weapon at the ground (repeatedly).
