If set to yes, the unit firing this weapon does not have to turn to face its target before firing, usually under the assumption that the projectile can home in on the target (for example, the Dreadnaught and Aegis in Red Alert 2, since their missiles turn freely under their own power after being fired).

Another possible use is if the weapon also has AreaFire=yes set but is not fired by deploying the unit.
