Edited by Marshall: It seems that someone is trying to make things more complicated than they need be and decompatabilize other community projects, albeit unintentionally.

Quite frankly I feel that this entry should not exist as it is misleading.

  • Step 2 should direct you to name the file ecachethemeRA2.mix
  • Step 3 advises you to start messing with the original game mixes against all common sense.
  • Step 4 isn't even neccessary as the names are still present.

If you want to enable RA2 music in YR you should use the YR Playlist Modifier available from http://marshall.cannis.net

This is a guide to make RA2 music play in YR.

  1. Insert your RA2 CD (any side) into your CD drive.
  2. Copy theme.mix to your game directory as expandmdxx.mix where XX is an unused mix number.
  3. Uncomment all the references to old tracks in your thememd.ini. (you can repack it to localmd.mix with XCC mixer if you want mods to override this)
  4. Reinsert all of the old track names in your ra2md.csf file.
