Flag: Flamer
File(s): art(md).ini
Values: Boolean values: yes or no, true or false, 1 or 0
Default: no
Applicable to: Animations

Logic related to Flamer, as a whole or in part, is obsolete in Red Alert 2 and/or Yuri's Revenge.

Specifies whether this animation leaves fire behind. Requires SmallFire and LargeFire to be defined.

If enabled, one up to three animations are randomly created. An animation of type SmallFire is always created close to this animation's position. There is a 50% chance that another SmallFire is created farther away, and independently of this there is another 50% chance that a LargeFire animation is created with a medium distance.

In other words: If only one animation is created, it is always SmallFire. If three animations are created, it is always two SmallFire and one LargeFire. If two are created, there is a 50% chance that one of them is LargeFire.

If the animation also has Scorch=yes, only Flamer is used to create the residual flames. However, Scorch=yes allows the animation to leave behind scorch marks.

This feature does not exist in Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge, though the flag is read.
