Grinding

Determines whether or not this BuildingType is a Grinder. If Grinding=yes is set then any InfantryTypes or VehicleTypes under the control of the owner of the BuildingType can be sent into this BuildingType in order to destroy said units but also reimburse the owner of the BuildingType by the destroyed units' Soylent.
This feature was previously available on the Cloning Vats in Red Alert 2 however it only applied to InfantryTypes (this feature of the Cloning Vats was removed in Yuri's Revenge in favour of Yuri's Grinder).
A BuildingType with Grinding=yes uses SpecialAnim as the animation to play when grinding. When SpecialAnim plays, ActiveAnim will be replaced.
- Therefore, when there is an ActiveAnim but no valid SpecialAnim , ActiveAnim will disappear after the first grinding.
If Grinding=yes , Cloning=yes and InfantryAbsorb=yes exist at the same time for a certain BuildingType , the value of UnitAbsorb=yes will take effect, and the default value is "no".
When UnitAbsorb=no , VehicleType is not allowed to enter under normal circumstances, similar to Cloning Vat ; when UnitAbsorb=yes , InfantryType and VehicleType are allowed to enter at the same time.
In this situation, InfantryAbsorb does not actually restrict the units that can enter BuildingType , but only serves as a precondition for UnitAbsorb to take effect.
Bugs/Side-Effects/Unexpected Limitations
- When an InfantryType has the Engineer=yes setting, it can enter the grinder with full strength. But when the grinder is damaged, it will always give priority to repairing the BuildingType.
- When an InfantryType or VehicleType has the either AttackFriendlies=yes or AttackCursorOnFriendlies=yes setting, it always chooses to attack instead of entering the grinder.
- When an InfantryType has a weapon with negative damage, it will always not attempt to enter the grinder.
