Flag: Scorch
File(s): art(md).ini
Values: Boolean values: yes or no, true or false, 1 or 0
Default: no
Applicable to: Animations

Logic related to Scorch, as a whole or in part, is obsolete in Red Alert 2 and/or Yuri's Revenge.

Specifies whether this animation scorches the object it is attached to. If used, requires SmallFire to be defined.
If enabled, a new animation of type SmallFire is created at the same location and attached to the same object (if any) as this animation.
The animation will also leave behind smudges that have Burn=yes set.
This flag has no effect if the animation is on a cell containing any of the terrain types Water, Beach, Ice, or Rock.
If this animation also has Flamer=yes, only Flamer is used to create the residual flames. However, Scorch=yes allows the animation to leave behind scorch marks.
This feature does not exist in Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge.

Note

  • If the value of H(from FireFLH) is greater than 29, this effect will not take effect.
