Deformation

Deformation is a system introduced in Tiberian Sun that allows warheads to create three-dimensional craters in the terrain, as opposed to purely visual smudges. Deformation is controlled by the following flags:
- Morphable - only tilesets with Morphable=yes can be deformed.
- Deform - chance of a warhead to deform ground on impact, provided DeformThreshhold is met.
- DeformThreshhold - damage dealt by warheads of the same type must exceed this threshold in order to deform ground.
- CraterLevel - controls the size of craters created by meteorites.
In addition, deformation is only possible on map height levels greater than 0. Naturally you can't dig into height levels that don't exist.
If the above criteria are met, the warhead will create a 2x2 or 3x3 crater on impact, depending on the available terrain.
Deformation was discarded in Red Alert 2 in favor of speeding up the engine.
