DeathFish's To-Do List

Short-term Plan

【➖】Locomotor and Locomotor_I

merge and check Testid's contributions part-1, part-2, part-3 and some other by Speltercap

  • Some content from Locomotor_I is missing in Locomotor, so it can be confirmed that the merge was not completed. There even seem to be some insufficiently rewritten sections that require further verification. Perhaps it could be converted into a table format, like what Renegade did in Powerups, which makes for comfortable reading. Additionally, efforts should be made to ensure each CLSID can serve as a jump anchor like the EIP values on the EIP page - this would likely benefit many tasks...

【✅】CloseEnough

[Dedeezirified] Need for re examination

【✅】Category:Death_Penalty

  • Review the pages that should be consolidated, then either merge them or convert them into redirects.

【✅】Category:Pages_with_uncoverted_legacy_footnotes

【➖】Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:CatAllTypes

  • Replace the template that should have been eliminated with a new template

Useful Pages

  1. ModEnc:Styleguide
  2. ModEnc:Templates
  3. ModEnc:Tables
  4. Special:WantedPages

Long-term Plan

  1. Category:Review_for_fake_conversion_and_revert_if_necessary
    • Review and rewrite the content from DeeZire's Red Alert 2 and Yuris Revenge INI Editing Guide, checking which engine and category the flags belong to.
    • The descriptions of many statements in DeeZire's The Guide contain issues and even misleading information, such as SpeedType=Underground. Due to the pioneering and historical nature of The Guide, these errors have also had a profound impact on subsequent tutorial materials. It is necessary to conduct inspections and use the pages containing errors as an index for examining modern community foundational materials, so as to facilitate subsequent basic teaching work.
  2. User:Renegade/Guide_Homonyms
    • In a previous bug fix for Template:F, Renegade discovered that a past task—merging different pages generated from importing identical Flags from DeeZire's The Guide into a single page—had not been executed correctly, which likely caused ModEnc to lose some valuable data. Now that Renegade has restored those pages, this provides an opportunity for a thorough review.
    • In the previous work, the redirects did not precisely target specific locations within the merged page. They should be modified to point to anchor points such as subheadings to make the redirect jumps more accurate.
  3. Special:Contributions/Testid123
    • In Testid123's contributions, he has genuinely devoted his own time and effort to conduct some verifications, even though some of them are considered by many to be meaningless nonsense. However, this should not be overly extremeized. When time permits, one should still attempt to find diamonds in the rough and correct those erroneous contents.
  4. Ares Flags
    • include flags removed in versions such as 0.C.
      • Since the {{Flag|extver=}} entry exists, why not use it.
        • Many existing pages currently lack this entry.
    • For flags that previously existed but were later renamed, a page should also be created with redirects added.

In fact, these tasks often need to be advanced in parallel, and some pages can even mix three issues together and need create Ares flags page to supplement, heh.
