This is a problem that everyone should be aware of. For people who do not have knowledge or have never encountered a problem like this, it is not appropriate to delete other people's data.

my discovery It's bigger than having to edit your data, I'm doing this for the common good
and https://modenc.renegadeprojects.com/Main_Page Not your website If you want to delete other users' information I think this is not a good way. that you will do here

IsGattling‎ diffhist 4SG talk contribs (Pointless chatter about it not working for infantry)

So could you please create a "Gattling Trooper" in "yuri revenge" for me (without using any extensions). I'm trying to make it usable like the Gattling Cannon and Gattling Tank.

And if you have substance You wouldn't waste time erasing other people's knowledge.

Reply by 4SG: I like your enthusiasm, but you are adding modding tutorials that belong in the Tutorials section and adding "I did this testing" with results that don't add to the page. So please, stick to the format every page has always had instead of adding chatter about your modding notes. This is not your personal notebook, these sections are for proper documentation of the INI tags.

1. Without testing, you will never know what is wrong with a tag (unless you are willing to test it).
2. If you stick to the old ways, I am afraid you will never progress and you will just sit there and follow others.
3. Even though this is not my personal directory, there will always be other users who will add information, so this is a place for (educated) users to add useful information.
4. If there is no new information, the INI document will be too old and outdated.

5. So far, I haven't seen much change in https://modenc.renegadeprojects.com/Special:RecentChanges. Some tags still lack important information and are usually labeled with

Tiberian Dawn The Covert Operations Red Alert Counterstrike Aftermath Tiberian Sun Firestorm HyperPatch Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge Ares Generals Zero Hour Tiberium Wars Kane's Wrath
Flag: 4SG
File(s): rules(md).ini
Values: ERROR – No value types set! Please edit this page and fix the Flag template!

4SG Did you wait for Westwood to add that information?

Some alternative solutions:

@Testid123 Every page on MODENC has a corresponding Discussion page. Whether it is user information or an explanation of a specific Flag, for example, IsGattling also has a Discussion page. Perhaps could place your tests and other content on the Discussion pages corresponding to each Flag. This way, your knowledge can be preserved without affecting the main pages of each Flag.

Regarding the issue of uniform text formatting and page style, I had also left a message on User_talk:Testid123 saying, "Let's try to keep the content of the page as professional as possible." In fact, when Testid123 first joined the editing work on MODENC, many of his contributions were merely formatting changes like this kind of style change without any substantial content changes. This caused me some distress for a while because the RSS feed kept notifying me of these changes. Of course, User:Crimsonum had already discussed this issue on User_talk:Testid123. However, Testid123's editing style is indeed quite different from ours. For example, we rarely use
<br>
, <b>, or <font style="color:blue"> for formatting. MODENC has its own [[]] and ''' formats, and we don't always need to use HTML-like codes.

Of course, it must be acknowledged that Testid123 has made many changes and has always been quite enthusiastic about sharing his insights. Rolling back pages due to this kind of conflict is really pointless.

If the above method of using Discussion pages is not acceptable, perhaps Testid123 could create a dedicated page on MODENC called Testid123_Knowledge to store his findings. When editing other pages, he could only add functional explanations and link his tests and insights to this page. He could also use Page#Topic links to jump precisely to specific sections (like those on the EIP page). Alternatively, Testid123 could create a repository on GitHub with a structure similar to MODENC pages. This way, he could use full HTML codes and better preview the effects he wants. He could even use tools like Sphinx to generate a tutorial-style document and host it on his own website. There are always solutions. We demand professionalism, simplicity, and uniformity in formatting and syntax on the pages, while also hoping that more knowledge can be preserved for other enthusiasts to reference, right?

That would be the best outcome.

I think it's up to everyone to keep to the way ModEnc has always been formatted. I only rolled back what should be rolled back and kept what information was useful there, I already looked through all his edits, so clearly I'm not maliciously rolling back all his pages. In fact I think I've been pretty lenient on some of the edits. I don't think it's too much to ask for everyone to put their tutorials in the tutorials section and to keep their test findings in discussion pages, nor do I think it's my or anyone else's job to do that for others, as there's already only a few of us moderating the place, and I seldom have time to.

Also to Testid123, yes this is a place to add useful information, I'm not discouraging that, again I simply removed information that doesn't belong on the page. Using H1 and red font isn't going to change my decision there.

Oh, I originally intended to suggest that Testid123 use the Discussion page in the future. I wasn't asking others to help migrate that content for him. And I also agree that everyone should stick to the formatting that ModEnc has always used. Let me change the wording of the previous statement :P
