A weapon in RA2 is an object which normally deals damage.
In RA2, an object can have 4 four weapons
Primary - the main weapon.
Secondary - a second weapon that usually affects a different TechnoType to the Primary one.
ElitePrimary - new Primary weapon to use when at 3 chevron status.
EliteSecondary - new Secondary weapon to use when at 3 chevron status.
The IFV has multiple weapons dependent upon infantry inside.
Weapons are modifed by a variety of factors including garrisoning and OpenTopped=yes which often affects Damage, Range and Rate of Fire (ROF)
Special weapons such as the VirtualScanner and V3Launcher are often used by AI for targeting purposes or for spawning logic to work correctly.
